Tree or (cycad), 1.8-3 m high, dioecious, palm-like plants; fronds keeled; male cones 250-500 mm; female cones indeterminate. Fl. Aug. Sand over laterite or granite. Limestone outcrops, rocky slopes, gorges, near creeks.
