Erect or decumbent shrub, 0.3-1.5 m high. Fl. blue/blue-white, Jun to Nov. White/grey or red sand, clay loam. Limestone ridges, sand dunes, coastal plains.

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 20-85 mm long, 1.5-8 mm wide, absent (leaves glabrous) or hairy, with dense, absent, glandular hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 6-10 mm long, glabrous. Presence absent (flowers sessile). Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 7-11 mm long, hairy, with sparse, simple hairs. Corolla blue or mauve, 13-20 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 7-11 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 7-9.5 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.7-0.8 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 8-12 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in June, July, August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Carnarvon (CAR), Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF) and Warren (WAR) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
