Erect shrub, 0.2-0.7 m high. Fl. blue, Apr or Oct to Dec. Sandy loam over quartzite. Hillslopes.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 13-60 mm long, 10-25 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles present, 3-6 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 3-5 mm long, glabrous. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 0.4-1 mm long, glabrous. Corolla white or blue, 12-15 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, hairy on the inside, with wings, 0.4-1.5 mm wide, wings present on both sides. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 7.5-8.5 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in April, May, June, July, August, September, October and December. Occurs in the Mallee (MAL) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
