Erect or sprawling, often viscid shrub, 0.1-1 m high. Fl. blue/cream-white, Jan to Mar or May to Nov. Skeletal soils. Sandstone hills & outcrops.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 10-30 mm long, 5-12 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense or sparse, simple hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 5-7 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Calyx lobes absent, with dense or sparse. Corolla white or cream, 10-11 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 3-5.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 3-5.2 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.2-0.3 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 9-11 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Dampier land (DL), Northern Kimberly (NK) and Central Kimberly (CK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) Botanical Province.
